Mobile app project description

I am seeking a developer to create music education iOS app. Must be familiar in iOS audio and MusicXML. This is a bid for the first milestone of this project. If this milestone is completed well, there will be more work immediately and highly competitive flat rate for the remainder. The requirements are as follows.

This is an app that develops sight reading skills for musicians/music students. The student will first select a track (mp3) to play along with. Then, a pre-written MusicXML file (or MIDI if you prefer) will scroll across the screen length-wise and play the sounds indicated. Later down the road, the app will have some other fun social media and gaming elements- but this will not be in version 1.0.

For this first milestone, I will provide you with an mp3 and a MusicXML file. Please make the make the MusicXML file scroll across the screen (in landscape), play back the audio indicated and sync to the Mp3 track. That is all. I attached a wireframe of this milestone for your reference.

For completion of this project, I need to be able to run it on my iPhone 6 without publishing it to the App Store.

*** VERY IMPORTANT: To separate you from the spammers, please write I AM REAL as the first line of your bid. I will delete all bids that do not start with this phrase, since most bidders never read the requirements. Thank you for being one who does.

Now for the non-business-y stuff:
I, too, am real.
I’m a full-time musician and educator based in Los Angeles. My passion is using tech to reform how we teach and learn music (trust me, the industry needs an update). I’m direct, easy to work with and open to “out-of-the-box” thinking. It is important to me that this project be enjoyable and challenging for both of us. I want you to create work you are proud of.

I’m looking forward to seeing what you create!
