In-House Game Idea - App project

Mobile app project description

The idea is to create an app that is a game that can be played in an arena during a sporting event. The player would download the app prior to arriving, and once they arrive at the arena, the player would be "invited" to join the game.

The game would have three different levels; beginner, intermediate, and advanced (the names of the levels would be "Rookie" "Veteran" and "Star"). Once a player chooses their "level" they are required to answer a series of questions related to that night's game (examples would be "who will score first" "will joe smith keep his goal streak going tonight" "who will take the first penalty" etc.).

All entries must be recieved before the game starts. As each event happens (a goal,, a penalty, etc.) the players who answered the question correctly would continue on in the game, and those that answered incorrectly would be eliminated. The game and the "leader-board" would need to update in real time.

Ideally the game/app would also feature ways for the players to interact with each during the game, and show how many players are still active in the game as the game continues.

Advanced features may include providing additional questions to those players who are still active in the game as the game moves on. Also, we would like a feature that provides real-time updates on the status of the lines at the concession stands, if possible.

Other features that we would like to see are options to upload pictures from the game; a way for players to invite other players to join the game; a way to have video highlights play in the app; a way to have reminders sent the night before a game to anyone who has downloaded the app.

We could work on which features are feasible, and which are not as we move along, and we may wish to include additional features not listed here, but this is a good overview of the project. Please note: the "budget range" provided below is simply a guess, please give your best estimate on the project even if that estimate falls above or below the "budget range."
