Apple's New iPhone Will Charge Other Devices

Another innovation is about to enter the mobile market. Apple's upcoming iPhone is supposed to charge other devices wirelessly. How far, is this revelation, useful for iOS app developers?

It’s not a gimmick, but it’s use is very niche (and I’m a bit worried about life of phone’s battery in the process among other cons).

I bought the X for the reduced footprint + largish screen. XS/Max really didn’t have any features that jumped out as gotta have and this one wouldn’t be one either. Which is good in its own way: the urge to upgrade every year or other year isn’t as high. Not good if you’re a phone manufacturer I guess.
