I am the director of Brainium Labs, we design and build mobile apps and websites. We are based in Australia.

Explain what your project was about.

The HealthLAB project is a face-to-face experience for participants with a clinical coordinator and trained staff who can discuss chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, alcohol literacy and smoking.

A participant’s health is measured against the benchmarks for these diseases using modern technology. The test results and health implications will be explained to the participant in detail by the clinical coordinator and trained staff.

The mobile app developed for HealthLAB is used by participants to collect and store results which they can view. They can also receive notifications via push.

Nimblechapps did all the development.

How did you get to meet the Nimblechapps team and what led you to hiring them?

I found Nimblechapps on Clutch.co. We hired them because of their existing portfolio, but most importantly their communication response time is very fast and their English is perfectly understandable.

How was their project management?

Excellent. They are always communicating throughout the project and easily approachable.

Time and budget on track.

Did you find their expertise up to what you expected? Did they require any kind of training from your end to understand your product?

They exceeded expectations. I was very cautious at first, but they delivered above what I had imagined. We had several meetings initially to discuss the project which they very quickly understood.

I am a student from Berlin that has started an independent project about a year ago.

Explain what your project was about.

The application aims to facilitate the process of giving feedback students have for their universities.

Explain to what scope extend Nimblechapps was involved in your project.

Nimblechapps created a mobile application from scratch for iOS and Android. Additionally, they did animations and design.

How did you get to meet the Nimblechapps team and what led you to hiring them?

It took me a long while to find the right development partner and Nimblechapps definitely stood out against competitors due to their high level of commitment.

From second one they were extremely detail oriented so that they would entirely understand what my project is about. Also they were the only ones that actually showed understanding and interest in what I am doing. It is key that the people you work with aren’t merely executing instructions, but have the same vision in mind. This was definitely the case with Nimblechapps. Additionally their previous projects showcased a high degree of coding and animation skill.

To round it up, Nimblechapps definitely offered the most competitive price.

How was their project management?

Their project management was very good. I got continuous updates about their progress and every feedback of mine was implemented swiftly.

The budget range was below 10,000 USD.

The budget was exactly as agreed upon. The time did extend a little further than planned, but that was solely due to me.

Did you find their expertise up to what you expected? Did they require any kind of training from your end to understand your product?

Their expertise surpassed expectation. Their coding and design skills are of top quality, as was their communication. They guided me through everything that might need explanation, hence I was fine without any expertise on the topic myself.

I’m Jamarr Threatt, I’m an audio/visual designer for a 2-man design studio by the name of Mode_44. We formerly designed sites, and created graphic designs/ flyers, but have since ventured into game development, as well as some 3D work.

Explain what your project was about.

I was contacted by a client who was looking to have a game made utilizing some characters he created. I had the means to create the mock-up of how the game could play, but currently didn’t have the means of helping him realize his product into a completed game.

Explain to what scope extend Nimblechapps was involved in your project.

Nimblechapps brought forth the coding knowledge in order for me to help bring the game concept presented to life.

How did you get to meet the Nimblechapps team and what led you to hiring them?

I went searching for help via Upwork.com. I received many offers, but went with Nimblechapps because they actually created a game that contained similar gameplay elements relevant to the game I was looking to have created.

How was their project management?

Wonderful. Communication/direction with them is top-notch. Typically, they’ll finish with a task well before I’m able to deliver the next phase of things.

What was the budget range quoted for this project?

Between 6,000 and 8000 USD.

Was the project completed as expected? Was the time and the budget the same you agreed on?

The content I was looking to have developed was completed as requested, and within the budget.

Did you find their expertise up to what you expected? Did they require any kind of training from your end to understand your product?

Absolutely. They most that ever had to be done, was just some visual direction via animations, which I would deem minor.

They’re a team that I can tell works well together. Nimblechapps enjoy what they do, and they enjoy one another, as it absolutely shows in their end product. They’re a super friendly bunch, that not only deliver great product, but are constantly looking for ways to improve it with very valid suggestions.

Not necessarily. They’ve been an absolute joy to work with. No qualms at all.

I'm Paal Aleksander A. Kaasa, a 32-year-old Norwegian creative and entrepreneur.

Explain what your project was about.

Bookquarks are unique stickers that are paired with unique web pages. You'll paste the stickers on any collection of books, vinyl records, blue-ray etc. Friends who want to borrow the registered things from you can now scan the QR code (or use short url) and set a calendar reminder for their device.

Explain to what scope extend Nimblechapps was involved in your project.

Nimblechapps have been very much involved with the process of developing the product and the webapp. They have shown a genuine interest in the concept and has always been ready to understand and adapt to my point of view. That being said, they have also let me understand what was unnecessary and the kind of limits we operate within. They are interested in developing something exciting!

How did you get to meet the Nimblechapps team and what led you to hiring them?

Initially, I found nimblechapps on Clutch.co and after a while of skyping, I decided to start the web app development. We have used TransferWise for the milestone payments.

Nimblechapps was added to my skype chatbox, and I think I sent them a message about my interest in developing something, I had a few ideas of what this could be, and so they had a look at those and got back to me. Early on I was actually not so certain about what I wanted to do, I knew that I wanted to create a webapp, but besides of this, my concept was not fully compiled. Chatting with Nisarg about my ideas got the ball rolling – or maybe I should say; playing ball with Nisarg over skype got me up further up the pitch and in a better goal scoring position. "Winning yards" they say in American football. Europeans don't know that much about this though.

How was their project management?

With project management, I have always felt well treated. Nimblechapps would inform me on a regular basis about what is done each week or day, and they are very quick to answer any question or address any thoughts you might have.

Nimblechapps delivered on time and completed the work on the agreed payment.

Did you find their expertise up to what you expected? Did they require any kind of training from your end to understand your product?

Nimblechapps are "allrounders". I think they have managed everything I needed from them, they got the right expertise to develop something new and unorthodox.

I like their work environment. It seems like they have a high standard on how to treat people. This can be a problem working remotely because when you're behind a computer, you lose that personal contact and some people feel less morally obligated by that. Maybe this happens subconsciously, I don't know. This is not at all the case with these nice people.

Is there anything you believe Nimblechapps could improve on?

No, I can't find any things they should have done differently.
