Explain what your project was about
Multiple projects and organizations. They are still ongoing and we have now retained a sizeable team from Galaxy to continue to work for us on an ongoing basis. We provide Learning Management Systems and associated training content to businesses of all sizes. We also have Mobile applications on the Android and IOS platforms.
Explain to what scope extend Galaxy Weblinks was involved in your project
Daily. They have assisted in various aspects such as Statement of Work writing, gathering information, web development, mobile app development, design, project management, quality assurance checking, and more. We interact daily over calls to review the work and answer questions.
How did you get to meet the Galaxy Weblinks team and what led you to hiring them?
I inherited a team when I took this position a few years ago. We have made some changes to the team in my tenure, however, we have had our current team for almost 2 years.
How was their project management?
Excellent. They never fail to bring issues and concerns to our attention and adjust accordingly.
What was the budget range quoted for this project?
It depends on the project. We have had Mobile app development around 30-40k, web development individual projects around 25k, and now we exclusively use them on a retainer basis and pay hourly. Depending on the month, that can range from 3k to 25k, depending on the current needs.
Was the project completed as expected? Was the time and the budget the same you agreed on?
When budgets are set, they do meet that number. If additional work is needed to reach the deadline, they provide it at no cost usually. For deadlines, we have had most projects meet deadlines. The few that didn’t were from Scope Creep on our side and did not end up going far enough over to impact the business.
Did you find their expertise up to what you expected? Did they require any kind of training from your end to understand your product?
Our product is proprietary. We have worked with this company for upwards of 5 years. Most team members are oriented to the Galaxy project manager. We train on processes as needed. We have had very little turnover in team members over our relationship.
Please highlight the best things of Galaxy Weblinks
Excellent communication, flexibility to adjust their working schedule to accommodate the time difference, the team members are individually very smart and grasp concepts and pose suggestions, low/no team churn, high attention to detail, will put in the extra time where needed to complete the job and complete it correctly.
Is there anything you believe Galaxy Weblinks could improve on?
There have been things over the past few years. However, we have addressed them and Galaxy was able to correct them quickly. As of now, we are 100% happy with their interactions and work.
