INTERVIEWED BY APPFUTURA ON APR 16, 2018
Please present yourself and your business.
My name is Brian Gannon and I am the co-founder and CEO of Loop. We make a family communication system.
Explain what your project was about.
We needed an iOS app, web backend and some Android work on the device.
Explain to what scope extend Droids on Roids was involved in your project.
Droids on Roids completed the iOS app, backend, android application work on the device and an Android App.
How did you get to meet the Droids on Roids team and what led you to hiring them?
They reached out to me through LinkedIn. Then my VP of software screen them.
How was their project management?
Outstanding. Very good English. Very professional. Great systems.
What was the budget range quoted for this project?
We were paying on a monthly basis. The total amount was between $200k-$300k.
Was the project completed as expected? Was the time and the budget the same you agreed on?
The project turned out great. Customers love it and the software is very robust. We added some functionality and therefore the schedule pushed out some.
Did you find their expertise up to what you expected? Did they require any kind of training from your end to understand your product?
Yes, their engineers are top quality. My VP of Software ran a big software team in San Francisco and was impressed by their talent. He flew out to them in order to train them up on the product and the intent.
Please highlight the best things of Droids on Roids.
Great project management. Great engineering talent. Great enthusiasm for getting it right.
Is there anything you believe Droids on Roids could improve on?
In the end, we realized that we could both communicate better to make tradeoffs earlier. For example, if a feature would take 4 weeks to complete, we might not include the feature or rescope it to get it out faster. So on this project, we realized it was better to get feedback instead of just throwing it over the wall. Hide extended review
