Devvela company overview

At Devvela, Chicago, we implement the boldest ideas through responsive web & mobile design & development, eCommerce and VR. Since 2007, we’ve been helping:

- startups turn ideas into products when founders’ tech skills are limited;
- brick & mortar businesses undergo digital transformation;
- enterprises raise efficiency and reduce costs;
- digital agencies profit from the deals that require extra workforce.

We create experiences that drive your business growth, provide digital solutions that take you to the top of the game, and shape up your ideas the way you might haven’t imagined.

Before we tackle your project, we do quick but thorough research if needed and accurate project estimation. After we’ve started, you receive a working prototype very quickly, with the 1st iteration. Early product we’ve built isn’t only functional but also ready to be tested within the market. After it’s launched, we’re at your disposal for further improvements.

Coral is a startup aiming to simplify the entire hosting process. The web app allows hosts create guidebooks to present information about their home and neighborhood in a beautiful and intuitive format. As a result, guests are aware of directions, house rules, and amenities having it all in their pocket.

We improved the existing website layout. The client just loved the results and decided they’d outsource server works to us as well. We moved the client to another AWS account. The new account was set, and the website relocated.

In addition, as we looked at their application structure, we proposed development process upgrade including:
- mandatory stage use before releasing to prod and automated
- simple and unproblematic stage and prod updating with Jenkins.

We also met other challenges such as continuous integration, push and commit notifications facilitated through slack bots, and website relocation to another repo. Today, we keep on working on the product upgrading it.

For about 6 years Tyrre Burks had played college and professional football, until one day he pulled his hamstring. He had a bad time trying to communicate with all his coaches and trainers about how he was getting to practice and what his responsibilities needed to be. Finally, Burks decided he would quit playing football and concentrate on building a platform for athletes that would allow them keeping closer in touch with their athletic staff, monitor injuries, and schedule training accordingly. However, when he came to us, he had only some general idea.
It took us only 6 weeks to turn the idea into a working application. We tried and rejected up to four variations before the final version of the product was built. Today Player’s Health is a high-load sports injury management platform for the Web and mobile devices. It’s been popular among investors from the very beginning. It's already developed a partnership with USA Wrestling, and won the Grand Prix at Google Demo Day 2016.
