    Client: Budget: $15,000 – $20,000 (USD)

The challenge was to validate the participation without human intervention, they wanted the app to know automatically that the user has actually performed those challenges by means of an image/video recognition SDK.

To make a game and challenges based application, that allowed users to participate in various games and get points upon validation.

Beyond the walls validates the games in 5 ways, textual answers, location recognition, image recognition, video recognition and QR code recognition.

INTERVIEWED BY APPFUTURA ON MAR 29, 2018

Please present yourself and your business.

I asked Code Brew to build me an app for an outside game. My name is Jay Hatfield with Get Beyond the Walls, an app they are building.

Explain what your project was about.

It is meant to play somewhat like a scavenger hunt game, but much more than that.

Explain to what scope extend Code Brew Labs was involved in your project.

Gagandeep and her team were involved from the beginning until the end. They have been wonderful to work with
and have been very helpful and kind in making sure to give me what I am asking for. They get busy, but they always get back to me.

How did you get to meet the Code Brew Labs team and what led you to hiring them?

I found them online. I checked out their work on other products and found them to be honorable and willing to work with me.

    How was their project management?

I really cannot say enough good about Gagandeep and Asheem. They are wonderful. Gagandeep is always taking care of
my work. I appreciate her very much. Her diligence is amazing to me and how she cares about her customers. She
takes time to understand what I want and she gets it done.

What was the budget range quoted for this project?

    $15,000

Was the project completed as expected? Was the time and the budget the same you agreed on?

Yes, except I asked for additional things and they charged me a little bit more, VERY REASONABLE.
It took a little longer than quoted but that was because I had issues on my end that they helped with.

Did you find their expertise up to what you expected? Did they require any kind of training from your end to understand your product?

They knew how to do the job and get it done.

Please highlight the best things of Code Brew Labs.

Their customer service. Their commitment to getting my app done correctly. Their people built it very good for me.

Is there anything you believe Code Brew Labs could improve on?

I found that it was better when I sent videos of what I had an issue with. Other than that, I am pleased.

Please present yourself and your business.

My name is Ibrahim, I am the founder of Trailant.

Explain what your project was about.

Trailant is a solution that enables people digitally authenticate their past records so others can verify that such records are true and have originated from a legitimate source. The projected was about building a mobile wallet where people can store their personal credentials.

Explain to what scope extend Code Brew Labs was involved in your project.

Code Brew Labs were involved in the design and development of our mobile app (iOS, Android) and website.

How did you get to meet the Code Brew Labs team and what led you to hiring them?

We’ve worked with Code Brew Labs from the beginning. We found out about them from our research and decided to hire them because of positive client reviews. We’ve to date undertaken two projects together and haven’t been disappointed - the team has always delivered what they committed to!

    How was their project management?

During our initial project, we had a challenge with the project manager, but that was quickly fixed by the leadership who assigned us another project manager. The new project manager was unquestionably instrumental to the successful execution of both first and second projects. She was continuously available to address our concerns – communicating expectations to the broader team and providing timely feedback. This made the experience of working with a virtual team so much simpler for us. During our second project, I had the opportunity of personally visiting the India office to meet the team. It is always good putting a face to a name but it was even more reassuring experiencing the team's collaboration and dedication first hand.

Was the project completed as expected? Was the time and the budget the same you agreed on?

The project was completed on time and it remained within the agreed budget.

Did you find their expertise up to what you expected? Did they require any kind of training from your end to understand your product?

Yes, we found their expertise met our expectations. We also found it was helpful having a clear direction on exactly what it was that we wanted. There were times we required minor tweaks. At such times the team would research or leverage expertise from within; they always delivered what was expected.

Please highlight the best things of Code Brew Labs.

Without question, it is their involved style. They work as an extension of our team.

Is there anything you believe Code Brew Labs could improve on?

Nothing that currently comes to mind.

I am Preeti Venkateshan, the Project manager of Workcocoon. We are the creators of a remote working ecosystem. Our company is based out of Monaco.

Explain what your project was about.

Our project was to create an iOS application and an integrated web panel for remote working.

Explain to what scope extend Code Brew Labs was involved in your project.

Code Brew Labs worked with us as our Application developers. They took care of the entire process of Design, Development and Testing.

How did you get to meet the Code Brew Labs team and what led you to hiring them?

We were looking for an app development company in India to develop our iOS application. Code Brew Labs consistently appeared in all the rankings as one of the Top 10 best App development companies In India. So, I contacted their Business Manager and we got started from there.

    How was their project management?

The Project Management is at par. The communication channels are open and transparent and the Project Manager is cooperative and responsive. During the course of the project, we did have ad hoc requests and all of them were worked upon swiftly.

Was the project completed as expected? Was the time and the budget the same you agreed on?

Our Project scope graduated in the course of the development, hence the timelines moved along. The project budget was exactly what we agreed upon.

    8) Did you find their expertise up to what you expected? Did they require any kind of training from your end to understand your product?

Code Brew Labs have immensely talented and dedicated professionals. They quickly understood our requirements and did not require any training as such. I provided them with our specifications and the work was done accordingly.

Please highlight the best things of Code Brew Labs.

Code Brew Labs are a company with immense growth potential. Professionals are young, passionate, innovative and ambitious. They work on all the projects with impeccable dedication.

Is there anything you believe Code Brew Labs could improve on?

We work in CET time zone and things could have been much more comfortable if the team worked on CET time zone as well. However, we did not ask for it. I would put it in a way that Work cocoon’s experience could have improved if we had worked in the same time zone.

INTERVIEWED BY APPFUTURA ON FEB 20, 2018

Please present yourself and your business.

Bite App Inc. (Bite) is a C-Corporation incorporated in Delaware and founded in Philadelphia, PA during January 2017. Bite launched its iOS and Android app in October 2017. Its founders are Peter Hwang, Timothy Ko, and David Ko. David and Tim, brothers, were introduced to Peter in middle school by their parents. Bite’s advisor consists of Brice Gumpel, co-founder and COO of Seated; Jason Lee, founder of Rocky Pacific; Nick Petros, VP of Marketing at Rally Point.

Explain what your project was about.

Bite is a food discovery platform that allows users to efficiently choose and share their next meal. As a mobile application, Bite presents items on a restaurant’s menu dish by dish by allowing users to post and read reviews of restaurant dishes rather than general reviews of entire restaurants.

Explain to what scope extend Code Brew Labs was involved in your project.

Code Brew Labs was hired to develop the iOS, Android, and backend from start to finish. Everything on the platform has been developed by a variety of CodeBrew developers.

How did you get to meet the Code Brew Labs team and what led you to hiring them?

We found Code Brew Labs by browsing online for freelance developers. We hired them after receiving quotes from several companies and thought the experience they brought to the table at the price point they offered would be the best fit for Bite.

    How was their project management?

Code Brew Labs' project management was satisfactory. At times communication was difficult and extra care than what we hoped for was required to ensure that everyone was on the same page. In large part this could be attributed to having to communicate via phone and some minimal language barriers. If anything were to be improved, I think if Code Brew Labs was a bit more proactive it would have solved many of the issues.

What was the budget range quoted for this project?

    $20k for Phase 1. $9k/month for Phase 2.

Was the project completed as expected? Was the time and the budget the same you agreed on?

Though the project was completed as expected, much more input was required than we thought from our end. Further, overall the time to completion was about 1.5-2x longer than we initially thought.

Did you find their expertise up to what you expected? Did they require any kind of training from your end to understand your product?

Code Brew Labs was very competent. If time expectation and communication was improved, everything would have been great. No training required from our end.

At times, we felt like we were hand-holding through the QA process, as bugs caught by the Bite team would require much rework. However, with our limited experience managing a project, this may certainly be the norm. There also seemed to be a noticeable difference in expertise from their mid-level to senior-level developers, both of which Bite worked with throughout the duration of the project.

Please highlight the best things of Code Brew Labs.

Trustworthy, responsive, willing to work extra hours to satisfy the customer, client-first mentality,

Is there anything you believe Code Brew Labs could improve on?

INTERVIEWED BY APPFUTURA ON FEB 15, 2018

Please present yourself and your business.

Hi, I'm Clifford Manie, president of Dodge It Inc., an app software company that provides parking and driving assistance to motorists worldwide via traffic alerts, parking reminders, and user-shared parking information.

Explain what your project was about.

Our app seeks to provide convenience to drivers of having all their driving, parking, and traffic information within a single app. Thus our app features cover inspection/registration reminders, parking meter reminders, and alternate side parking reminders. Some of our traffic alerts include red light and speed cameras. There is also a school zone alert. Navigation is available as well as a car locator feature called Park and Find.

Code Brew Labs had the task of essentially building a mega-app (many features) that was easy to use.

Explain to what scope extend Code Brew Labs was involved in your project.

Code Brew Labs did all the design and development work for the Dodgeitapp.

How did you get to meet the Code Brew Labs team and what led you to hiring them?

Our CTO did an online search and found them. He vetted them and thought, from a technical perspective, that they were a good fit.

    How was their project management?

Project management was excellent. Our app had a very competent, professional, and dedicated young woman as project lead. We found her management exceptional, her tenacity to overcome obstacles - of which there were may - admirable, and her determination to meet the needs of the client very satisfactory.

Was the project completed as expected? Was the time and the budget the same you agreed on?

During development, the developers reported that a key component of the app could not be implemented. The functionality of many of the app's features were dependent on this component. The project manager along with the development team found an alternative in order to bring the project to completion. The project was completed beneath budget due to the aforementioned component-challenge which led to omission of some app features. The timeline was slightly extended due to the glitch and the need to clarify a particularly difficult-to-comprehend feature.

Did you find their expertise up to what you expected? Did they require any kind of training from your end to understand your product?

We had to provide detailed explanations for about two of the features of the application in order for them to visualize what we were looking for. It would have helped tremendously if they had exposure to some of the features. Nevertheless, they implemented the features as close to our ideas as possible.

Please highlight the best things of Code Brew Labs.

Hardworking, dedicated, determined, courteous, patient and professional.

Is there anything you believe Code Brew Labs could improve on?

    Nothing comes to mind.

Explain to what scope extend Code Brew Labs was involved in your project.

Code brew was involved in design and development of the mobile app.

How did you get to meet the Code Brew Labs team and what led you to hiring them?

We discovered them through our personal research. We hired them because we liked their reviews, sample designs, their business development reps, and their prices.

    How was their project management?

We had four project managers throughout the course of the project. The first two were great, the third was a terrible experience, and the fourth has been amazing to this point.

Was the project completed as expected? Was the time and the budget the same you agreed on?

The project was delayed a couple months for various reasons which was frustrating to say the least. But the quality was completed as expected and under the budget originally quoted as we negotiated and flexed on some aspects of the mobile app.

Did you find their expertise up to what you expected? Did they require any kind of training from your end to understand your product?

The project managers were intelligent and did not require any training on our end. They understood exactly what needed to be done when we pointed things out and were able to take care of them as needed.

Please highlight the best things of Code Brew Labs.

They provide high quality work at low cost. Communication is generally great but again, this depends on the project manager that you are assigned to work with.

Is there anything you believe Code Brew Labs could improve on?

INTERVIEWED BY APPFUTURA ON FEB 13, 2018

Please present yourself and your business.

My name is Jack Snow. I am the CEO and captain of Hideaway Boating Ventures, LLC.

Explain what your project was about.

Our project was to create a revolutionary app for the recreational boater. Titled TieUpCo, we set out to bring convenience to on-the-water activities. Functions we were able to incorporate include an informational hub, an events list, social integration, and a peer-to-peer docking platform.

Explain to what scope extend Code Brew Labs was involved in your project.

Code Brew Labs has been with us since almost the very beginning. We came to them with a small sample of designs and abstract concepts. They were heavily involved in helping us narrow down our goals to a create a manageable project. Their design crew brought our concepts to life almost immediately, creating highly aesthetic, exceptional quality, scalable designs. All designs kept in mind the functionality Code Brew Labs would be able to develop behind it. They continued to show superior problem solving through the entire development process, and have been great during our final support phase.

How did you get to meet the Code Brew Labs team and what led you to hiring them?

We reached out to a handful of studios to take on our project. Many came back with outrageous bids but we settled with a small studio we knew through personal contacts. It took about a month, but we got a bid back from Code Brew Labs and had to jump at the opportunity. They gave us a much larger team and a larger list of functionality at a reasonable price.

    How was their project management?

Project management was definitely a highlight of our experience. With a project manager that was continuously available, we were able to communicate all comments and concerns on a consistent day to day basis. This allowed for fluid feedback and integration, which helped get the most out of each iteration.

What was the budget range quoted for this project?

    They quoted us a very reasonable $25,000 – 30,000.

Was the project completed as expected? Was the time and the budget the same you agreed on?

The project exceeded expectations in everything from design to support. The budget stayed consistent throughout the entire project. Our timeline did move back quite substantially, but we implemented quite a few extra functionalities late in the process and Code Brew Labs was very accommodating.

Did you find their expertise up to what you expected? Did they require any kind of training from your end to understand your product?

Yes, Code Brew Labs had expertise on a wide range of disciplines. A few different elements had to be reiterated multiple times due to confusion and miscommunication, but overall, all issues were addressed quickly and intelligently.

Please highlight the best things of Code Brew Labs.

The best aspects of working with Code Brew Labs would be their fluid environment and dedication to producing top notch software. We had terrific communication throughout the project and were able to implement great functionality due to that.

Is there anything you believe Code Brew Labs could improve on?

We think that if anything was to change, Code Brew Labs could work on their data transfers and organization processes. We think they could benefit greatly by using a continuous integration platform such as github. We felt there were times of disorganization or incorrect file manipulation that could be been avoided.
