INTERVIEWED BY APPFUTURA ON MAR 27, 2019

Please present yourself and your business.

I'm Varun Ganjoo, COO at barrel13. Barrel13 is a tool where Amazon sellers can track estimated sales & revenue of various products available on Amazon.

Explain what your project was about.

The project was to create a website, a chrome extension, an iOS app, and an Android app. Users can log into any of the platforms and start tracking sales or evaluate estimated sales of products available on Amazon.

Explain to what scope extend Applify was involved in your project.

Applify was the core part of the project. They did the planning and technical execution of the entire system. They also helped us in expanding our team when required at the time of scaling the business.

How was their project management?

The project management was very hands-on and involved. Our Project manager was very thorough and made sure that everything was crystal clear in advance. I am a fan of their planning.

How did you get to meet the Applify team and what led you to hiring them?

It was a pure referral based interaction. One of our colleagues had already worked with Applify and was pretty impressed with what they had done. So, he introduced us to Applify.

Was the project completed as expected? Was the time and the budget the same you agreed on?

The project's MVP was fairly on time and quick. The remaining got extended as we also had a different requirement from what was originally agreed upon.

Did you find their expertise up to what you expected? Did they require any kind of training from your end to understand your product?

Well, there is a whole team given to us by Applify. The business analysts, project managers, etc, so understanding the business wasn't a problem for them I feel. The planning is done by the PM usually which I found to be quite smart.

Please highlight the best things of Applify.

Their design execution.

Is there anything you believe Applify could improve on?

There's always room for improvement and I feel Applify could do wonders if they improve their change requests management.

INTERVIEWED BY APPFUTURA ON JUN 15, 2018

Please present yourself and your business.

My name is Sol and I am the Director of Brezaa app.

Explain what your project was about.

It is basically a dating app. It matches people based on personal interests in nearby places. I had the idea for it about two years ago and I did the designs myself. Then I got the designer to refine the designs, which took about 3-4 months before moving on to development.

Explain to what scope extend Applify was involved in your project.

I had my own design, but I wanted them to take it and build on it. The scope was to better my design and build and Android and iOS app. It has to be Native, I was very specific about how I wanted it. It had to be Android Studio and the latest Swift back at the time.

I gave them a scope based on different deliverables.

How did you get to meet the Applify team and what led you to hire them?

When it came to finding an actual developer it was really difficult. I found a developer that I thought could do it, paid upfront and didn’t get anything. I started looking for companies and I posted my requirements on PeoplePerHour and received over ninety proposals. Because I had had a bad experience with a freelancer before, I now wanted to focus on professional app development companies.

I went through a very intensive vetting period of about two months. I trimmed down the selection until I got down to Applify. I spoke to the directors and they were just very professional. They showed me the environment where my app would be developed, their offices, and the staff looked happy too. I was really impressed by how professional they were and their communication skills.

The director seemed genuine. A lot of people are just after the money. Their approach was more like: this is what we do, we can do this for you, this is how we work. They were showcasing their actual work and they gave a lot of breakdowns on how everything would work.

At that point, I did not trust anybody after my previous bad experience. They knew about it and I told them I was putting all my trust in them, but we had to have some strict conditions. They were happy to do that.

How was their project management?

There have been times in which we haven’t agreed on certain things, but that is going to happen in any job. The project manager updated me on a day-to-day basis. Very professional, absolutely incredible.

They’re really good. I am very specific about my app, it’s like my baby. Sometimes I can be a little bit tedious or over the top, but at the end of the day, it is my product. However, what I like about Applify is that not everything I told them to do, they’ve done. Sometimes they’d suggest an idea that turned out to be great. So, although I’m very strict about what I want to do, they would turn around and give their opinion. Sometimes we’d argue and they would give their reasons and I love that. Basically, they would give suggestions and ideas, because they were passionate about making this app look and feel as good as possible.

They are just very professional.

Was the project completed as expected? Were the time and the budget the same you agreed on?

I gave them the timelines and they said it was achievable. I had some issues I had to get sorted out and I made some changes and additions, so I pushed out my original timelines.

Did you find their expertise up to what you expected?

Generally, they exceeded my expectations. There were times when I was shocked. They’d send me builds to review and you see it going from paper to an app. It was better than I thought.

Please highlight the best things about Applify.

Communication, professionalism. They won’t just take what you say. If they think they can do it better, especially technically, they will tell you. They added value.

Is there anything you believe Applify could improve on?

I can’t think of anything.

INTERVIEWED BY APPFUTURA ON MAY 28, 2018

Please present yourself and your business.

I am Matt Ryan, founder of the Dentists Near Me app. Dentists Near Me is an online platform on which people can find dental services nearby.

Explain what your project was about.

Our project was about bringing the Dentists Near Me platform on mobile so that more and more people could access it.

Explain to what scope extent Applify was involved in your project.

Being our sole technical partner, Applify handled the complete project on their own. Everything, from idea conceptualisation to the final launch of the app was done by them.

How did you get to meet the Applify team and what led you to hiring them?

I was searching for an app development company when a friend of mine told me about Applify. He had an app made from them in the past and was highly satisfied with their work. So, I scheduled an interview.

There are many factors that led me to hire them like their previous track record, competitive prices, and the positive relationship we both had developed.

How was their project management?

It was excellent. They’ve been very professional and easy to work with.

Was the project completed as expected? Was the time and the budget the same you agreed on?

Yes, they completed the project as expected within the decided budget and time.

Did you find their expertise up to what you expected? Did they require any kind of training from your end to understand your product?

Their expertise was exactly as expected. We didn’t need to offer them any kind of training.

Please highlight the best things of Applify.

Their team, which is highly focused, professional, and always willing to help. They made sure everything was on track, even during the hard times.

Is there anything else about your experience with Applify that you would like to talk about?

Working with Applify was an amazing experience. They’re very efficient, know their work very well, and are always there with brilliant ideas. If you’re willing to hire them for your project, I would suggest you to go ahead. They’ll handle it efficiently.

Reezer Nigeria
Client: Budget: $20,000 – $25,000 (USD)

Keeping track of all the events and millions of people who want to purchase tickets was definitely challenging

To make the process of selling tickets in NGN and advertising events much simpler and easier to access.

We decided to store all the details in a catalogue and made it visible to users. From there, they could search events and pick up whatever they wanted. Also, we kept app-theme social media centric so that the users can connect with each other.

Keeping track of all available tools and displaying their list on map was pretty challenging. We also had to make sure that users remain in constant touch with the lenders.

We used real-time tracking for searching available users. Apart from this, messaging and calling option ensured that both lender and user could contact each other at any point of time.

PinkBook
Client: Budget: $10,000 – $15,000 (USD)

PinkBook is a women-centric app. Hence, we had to keep its theme and colour accordingly. Apart from this, we had to ensure that it covers all important aspects.

To create an app that will make the process of organising kitty parties a lot easy.

In order to select a unique theme for the app we carefully studied the elements of several women-centric apps that are available in the market. On this basis, we selected the pink-white theme that compliments with both the name and the audience of the app.
