  • Nutritional Genomix
    Client: Budget: $10,000 – $15,000 (USD)

Our main challenge was to keep the theme such that the website itself inspires people towards fitness.

To offer one-stop shop for all fitness enthusiasts where they can purchase supplement and gym equipment at reasonable rates.

We strictly kept the theme fitness-based, using images of fitness models and gym equipments. The website content was optimised accordingly.

INTERVIEWED BY APPFUTURA ON SEP 14, 2017

Please present yourself, your business and your position.

I work at Nutrition Genomix. We are a gene testing company, we test your genetics for fitness, probability to catch diseases, etc.

Explain to what scope extend Applify was involved in your project.

They created a website and now they are making mobile apps to sale these tests online. They are working on automating the reports that the clients receive.

The website development was an introduction to the company. Now they are working on the entire e-commerce for us. We now do everything physically, so we are building an e-commerce paltform for the website and apps.

How did you get to meet the Applify team and what led you to hiring them?

I think it was Google. We shortlisted these guys, among others, and they were the ones that got the idea of making our business online. We don’t need to go to customers, but customers come to us now. Nobody else suggested that, this was the reason why we hired them.

    How was their project management?

It was good, we had some problems at the beginning because we didn’t have clear requirements. but they worked really good after that, we are still working with them.

Was the project completed as expected? Was the time and the budget the same you agreed on?

Yes. And by the end of the year they will send us the second project.

Did you find their expertise up to what you expected? Did they require any kind of training from your end to understand your product?

    Better than we expected.

Please highlight the best things of Applify.

I think the best part it was the strategy they come with. We didn’t know about softwarte, so we went to them explaining what our startup does, and they came up with the idea to make the business online. It makes sense to us now, it changed the direction of our business. This is why we are a loyal customer.

Is there anything you believe Applify could improve on?

As a customer, we want things developed really quickly. They are sticking to the timelines, but we would want things done quicker.

  • NLGIC - National Life & General Insurance
Client: Budget: more than $25,000 (USD)

NLGIC is a big organisation in Oman and millions of people are associated with it. Our challenge was to synchronise their branding with the novelty of the mobile apps.

To offer a platform where people can buy or track insurance policies from their mobile or desktop.

In order to retain NLGIC’s old image, we used their branding color but with a modern touch to the interface. As a result, we were able to create an app and a website that looked unique but also had certain elements from their previous outlook.

  • Reezer Nigeria
    Client: Budget: $20,000 – $25,000 (USD)

Keeping track of all the events and millions of people who want to purchase tickets was definitely challenging

To make the process of selling tickets in NGN and advertising events much simpler and easier to access.

We decided to store all the details in a catalogue and made it visible to users. From there, they could search events and pick up whatever they wanted. Also, we kept app-theme social media centric so that the users can connect with each other.

  • PinkBook
    Client: Budget: $10,000 – $15,000 (USD)

PinkBook is a women-centric app. Hence, we had to keep its theme and colour accordingly. Apart from this, we had to ensure that it covers all important aspects.

To create an app that will make the process of organising kitty parties a lot easy.

In order to select a unique theme for the app we carefully studied the elements of several women-centric apps that are available in the market. On this basis, we selected the pink-white theme that compliments with both the name and the audience of the app.

  • QProperty (Undisclosed name)
Client: Budget: more than $25,000 (USD)

While creating the app, our biggest concern was its size. It had lots of features. We had to ensure that all the features are included but the size doesn’t exceed the maximum limit. Doing so wasn’t that easy.

To create an app that allows you to seek and purchase properties directly from your phone.

In order to ensure that the app doesn’t exceed the size limit and all the features are properly implemented, we did careful supervision from time to time and optimised it wherever we could.
