INTERVIEWED BY APPFUTURA ON JUN 15, 2018

Please present yourself and your business.

I am Allesandro Bianchi. I cofounded Keyplace - the app to store memories at your desired location.

Explain what your project was about.

To allow our audience to revive the thoughts about a place left by travellers who have already been there. We wanted to create a time capsule app making sure the world sees different emotions of the people.

Explain to what scope extend Applify was involved in your project.

Applify was actively present at every phase of app developement.

How did you get to meet the Applify team and what led you to hire them?

We reached Applify while thoroughly searching for app companies on the internet. The moment I visited their website my mind was made. Beautiful design along with the past works on the website gave us the confidence to hire them.

    How was their project management?

Everything was updated on due time. Even when we got angry at some points they were patient.

Was the project completed as expected? Was the time and the budget the same you agreed on?

It was roughly a week before the expected time when Keyplace was ready. Yeah, the budget was the same as decided.

Did you find their expertise up to what you expected? Did they require any kind of training from your end to understand your product?

We doubted it at first but they proved their efficiency by the work they did on the app. We did a little effort initially to get them to understand our psychology. They got it and executed it as expected.

Please highlight the best things of Applify.

The sense of design and the implementation with app experience.

Is there anything you believe Applify could improve on?

Communication was good. They can work to make it even better.

  • Brezaa
    Client: Budget: $10,000 – $15,000 (USD)

A myriad of dating apps is available in the market. We had to ensure that our app was unique in terms of both design and features.

To create an app that makes online dating an easy and hassle-free affair.

Applify picked all popular dating apps on the market and carefully studied their design and features. After thorough analysis, Applify were able to list some unique features that could be offered, plus a brilliant idea for the design. Next, all Applify had to do was to implement their research.

INTERVIEWED BY APPFUTURA ON JUN 15, 2018

Please present yourself and your business.

My name is Sol and I am the Director of Brezaa app.

Explain what your project was about.

It is basically a dating app. It matches people based on personal interests in nearby places. I had the idea for it about two years ago and I did the designs myself. Then I got the designer to refine the designs, which took about 3-4 months before moving on to development.

Explain to what scope extend Applify was involved in your project.

I had my own design, but I wanted them to take it and build on it. The scope was to better my design and build and Android and iOS app. It has to be Native, I was very specific about how I wanted it. It had to be Android Studio and the latest Swift back at the time.

I gave them a scope based on different deliverables.

How did you get to meet the Applify team and what led you to hire them?

When it came to finding an actual developer it was really difficult. I found a developer that I thought could do it, paid upfront and didn’t get anything. I started looking for companies and I posted my requirements on PeoplePerHour and received over ninety proposals. Because I had had a bad experience with a freelancer before, I now wanted to focus on professional app development companies.

I went through a very intensive vetting period of about two months. I trimmed down the selection until I got down to Applify. I spoke to the directors and they were just very professional. They showed me the environment where my app would be developed, their offices, and the staff looked happy too. I was really impressed by how professional they were and their communication skills.

The director seemed genuine. A lot of people are just after the money. Their approach was more like: this is what we do, we can do this for you, this is how we work. They were showcasing their actual work and they gave a lot of breakdowns on how everything would work.

At that point, I did not trust anybody after my previous bad experience. They knew about it and I told them I was putting all my trust in them, but we had to have some strict conditions. They were happy to do that.

    How was their project management?

There have been times in which we haven’t agreed on certain things, but that is going to happen in any job. The project manager updated me on a day-to-day basis. Very professional, absolutely incredible.

They’re really good. I am very specific about my app, it’s like my baby. Sometimes I can be a little bit tedious or over the top, but at the end of the day, it is my product. However, what I like about Applify is that not everything I told them to do, they’ve done. Sometimes they’d suggest an idea that turned out to be great. So, although I’m very strict about what I want to do, they would turn around and give their opinion. Sometimes we’d argue and they would give their reasons and I love that. Basically, they would give suggestions and ideas, because they were passionate about making this app look and feel as good as possible.

    They are just very professional.

Was the project completed as expected? Were the time and the budget the same you agreed on?

I gave them the timelines and they said it was achievable. I had some issues I had to get sorted out and I made some changes and additions, so I pushed out my original timelines.

Did you find their expertise up to what you expected?

Generally, they exceeded my expectations. There were times when I was shocked. They’d send me builds to review and you see it going from paper to an app. It was better than I thought.

Please highlight the best things about Applify.

Communication, professionalism. They won’t just take what you say. If they think they can do it better, especially technically, they will tell you. They added value.

Is there anything you believe Applify could improve on?

    I can’t think of anything.

  • QProperty (Undisclosed name)
Client: Budget: more than $25,000 (USD)

While creating the app, our biggest concern was its size. It had lots of features. We had to ensure that all the features are included but the size doesn’t exceed the maximum limit. Doing so wasn’t that easy.

To create an app that allows you to seek and purchase properties directly from your phone.

In order to ensure that the app doesn’t exceed the size limit and all the features are properly implemented, we did careful supervision from time to time and optimised it wherever we could.
