The objective of the project was to build a platform that will connect Customers, Drivers and Truck Owners so that each party can leverage the assets to maximum advantage while keeping the costs low.

Ravaanaa is a on-demand truck reservation system which has very similar capabilities as Uber. However its is much more complicated than Uber because it is a 3D platform rather than a 2D platform. Here, Customers can post a load, nearby Truck Owners can accept the loads and then give the job to a freelance driver.
The app helps the customers to reduce the cost of transportation by allowing them to share the truck with other customers. It helps truck Owners to make more money by increasing their asset utilisation. Also, it creates multiple job opportunities for semi-skilled Indian Drivers.
We used Java to build the front end Android app and LAMP stack to build the backend of the app.
