INTERVIEWED BY APPFUTURA ON APR 04, 2017
Could you present your company and explain your position?
Our company is called IsaiX Technologies. I am the Director of Research and Development and I own all of our digital products. Anything that has to do with online or computer based and software based falls under my mandate for the organisation.
What was your project about?
We are a training consulting company. Half of our business comes from traditional training and consulting. We work with banks and pharmaceutical companies and their sales forces to help them be more productive and better at things like time management.
The other half of our business is building technology based tools to help them reach and maintain higher performance.
This particular project, called Coach technology, was one one of these technology tools to help Sales Managers to coach their employees. We wanted a native iPad application as well as a responsive HTML 5 web application for our consumers.
To what Scope was Net Solutions involved?
We actually built our own web page application about 12 years ago. About 8 years ago we engaged Net Solutions to essentially rebuild it and introduce the iPad application. They built the iPad application in its entirety as well as the new version of the web app.
You started work with Net Solutions 8 years ago. Has there been ongoing work ever since then?
It has been ongoing during these 8 years and we have had 3 or 4 other projects with them during this time. Coach has been our biggest project with them altogether, but we have had many other projects with them.
In all this time we have worked with Net Solutions for all updates needed on Coach.
How did you get to meet Net Solutions and why did you decide to hire them?
We are based in Montreal. We looked at about 17 different offshoring companies – some in Romania, Philippines, China, Albania, India, Argentina... We basically built our own decision metrics and scored everybody.
Net Solutions ended up being shortlisted amongst 3 companies and each of them built us a Proof of Concept. Based on our experience with Net Solutions and the actual outcome of the prototype, it was a no-brainer for us and we simply selected them.
How is their Project Management?
They are incredibly professional. Their processes are second to none. The methodologies that they use for everything (from communication with us to scoping, planning and the development life cycle) are great.
You have worked with Net Solutions for many years. Has their expertise always been up to your expectations? Have they ever required any training?
By Indian standards, Net Solutions is small company. But, they still have about 250 people and, in my view, all their employees are among the top on their field. Their scalability in terms of size of the team, as well as expertise and capacity, is very impressive. I have never had any issue where there has been a learning curve or anything like that.
What is the best thing about Net Solutions?
Their process. The way that they work with us. From idea through to conceptualization to actual development.
Is there any area you feel Net Solutions could improve on?
If I could have everything my way, the one thing I would say is that I wish they worked more in our time schedule.
But even that, it really works. We have enough overlap during the day and we can set up expectations in the late morning for us and then they work on it during our night, so we wake up with everything done.
It is a stretch, and no company is perfect, so if I had to find something, that would be it.
Is there anything else you would like to add about your experience with Net Solutions?
I spend time with them and go visit them in India once a year. We have worked with other Indian companies, and Net Solutions' office is better than the rest. Hide extended review
It is a very modern westernized-style office. It looks like mini Google campus. Their employees are treated really well, everything is clean and air-conditioned and they have lots of amenities. Overall, it is a fantastic experience to work with them. When you go there you feel very comfortable and like you could be working with your own team at home. I'd say that is certainly a bonus.
