What do you do at Octal Info Solution?

Although we have an exhaustive portfolio in both mobile and web app development, our specialty sticks to the mobile domain. We have delivered custom mobile app solutions for all major platforms like iPhone, Android, iPad, Blackberry and Windows Phone. Having worked for over 1200 clients that include the like of blue-chip companies like Skype, Fiat, Aviva and Vodafone over the years, we have catered mainstream industries like hospitality, healthcare, news & entertainment, education, online retail, telecom, finance and accounting.

Which would you say are the best apps you have developed and why?

Stormpins was publically announced best emergency communication platform on local news channel (Local 12 in Cincinnati). We used Radar Technology for demonstrating the pins over the Google Map.

Master Artist, an app similar to Draw Something, with an an extensive use of Image Filters library.

Well Connected is an iOS7 based communication application for patients and pharmacists. The application is used by 800,000 support groups to connect with patients. Well Connected uses walkie-talkie (Push to Talk) to free you from keyboard typing and engage in better communication having text, voice and group chat functionality.

Teachalogue is a Learning Managing System and student-teacher communication application for iOS7 and Android having text and voice chat functionality. The app will have two versions: free and paid.

MVP Connect is social networking application for sports people. The application will allow their users to communicate via text chat and group chat. Users can capture and exchange media files, can like, comment, and share and follow/unfollow a user.

What apps would you have loved to develop and why?

Motion Gaming and Chat Application in the first place – the reason being it is futuristic, novel and promising. Being more specific, we would have also loved to develop “Truecaller” and the “Whatsapp” application because it would be a challenge to manage all that high-flowing data stuff, but so far as our competency goes, we would have delivered with compelling results.

Which are the 5 apps you use the most on a daily basis?

Zomato, Skype, Whatsapp, Viber and Quickr.

Which mobile device is the best in the market right now?

Nokia Lumia 1020. Reason being it’s a Windows 8 based phone and comes with a 41 megapixel camera. I prefer Windows over Android because of its snap view, the frequent updates and the mobile experience improvement whereas android, being in the market for so long, hasn’t come up with frequent updates to the UI as of now.

What kind of device/platform will be the next big thing?

Possibly the upcoming versions of Windows. Windows have been introducing a lot of changes and it will be a force to reckon with in the mobile world.
