Vlad Korobov has experience in photography, design and flash-flex-development. Here’s what Vlad Korobov has to say about his mobile app development company and the mobile world:
What does your mobile app development company do?
We are a digital production company. An agile team of 50 people ready to help startups, nonprofits and enterprises to create, integrate and support modern software solutions. We achieve results in time and for appropriate prices, applying digital technologies for the best user experience. We are interested in long term partnerships and constant contribution to the success of your business. Live Typing company has good experience in Publishing, Fashion, Travel, Health, Civic, E-commerce, Events, Technology, Art and IoT.
What clients have you worked for?
Sephora (Russian branch), PepsiCo, Conde Nast (Vogue, Glamour, Allure), Samsung, Groupon, Lapka and a number of creative agencies (Nectarin, Socialist, Look at Media, Marvelous).
If you had to choose one category, what kind of app do you think is your mobile app development company’s specialty?
We are excellent in development of custom native mobile e-commerce projects with business issues that can not be solved using CMS and ecommerce platforms.
What is the average budget of the mobile apps you develop?
Average price is $15.000 for a native mobile app for one platform (iOS or Android). Prices for two native apps with API and server part start from $40.000.
Do you develop all mobile apps in-house or do you outsource some parts of the process?
We make all of our apps in-house, that approach allows to control the high quality of our products, timeline of development, bring synergy, experience exchange between our employees, strong intentions to make a killer product and even a personal interest in it’s success. Work with freelancers and outsource to developers will never have that level of motivation, involvement and satisfaction with the result.
An in house team almost has no cons, except the fact that sometimes we have to decline some projects due to our mobile app developer unavailability. But we do not have any intentions or desire to grow using freelancers. Although, we cannot exclude a possibility of working with freelancers in the future completely, but only in case of working with super rare exotic and complex technology that we have no experience working with and that needs an expert’s opinion and skills.
Which would you say are the best mobile apps that your company has developed?
Sephora (Ile de Beaute), Vogue Collections, Yotask. These are really successful massive apps with thousands of users.
Do you prefer to build mobile apps with native, hybrid or web languages?
We prefer an approach that solves client’s business goals. If a client’s goals is to make a solid, high-quality, fast-working product, which uses all of the smatphone’s capabilities then we recommend native development. If the goal is to make an MVP or test a business strategy with low cost we recommend Phonegap. We have learned to work with this technology and we know what types of projects it is a better match for. We’re developing native apps mostly, but we have a crossplatrorm team as well.
Let’s focus on iOS and Android mobile app development. Which are the Pros and Cons of each platform?
Which one will evolve more within the next 5 years?
They are too different platforms. Both Google and Apple are constantly evolving and growing, there is no chance to tell which of the two giants will lead on the market on mobile apps development. As for iOS, I make a big bet on Swift language. I hope it will be an excellent self-sufficient language and development will become more understandable and enjoyable.
Which device is the best in the market right now?
iPhone and Nexus, no doubt.
And which device do you feel more comfortable developing an app for?
iOS, because it has a higher productive capacity, there are many comfortable and easy solutions to use for mobile app developers. There are no such strong devices’ fragmentation as on Android, there is no side development from devices’ manufacturers. All of it makes a developer’s life easier but not as interesting and exciting as an Android team’s. These developers face challenges constantly and overcome difficulties on daily basis.
