Muhammad Asif - TapFreaks

Mohammad Asif is the CEO at TapFreaks. The mobile app development company was founded in 2010 by himself and is located in Ontario, Canada. The company employs 27 IT professionals and developers.

What does your mobile app development company do?

TapFreaks is a mobile focused development team that provides its global clientèle with the next generation solutions to their app needs. We are a team that take challenges and provide the best quality solutions to it. That is the reason behind the ROI success rate of our apps.

TapFreaks is not only looking for phones and tablets, we are also providing solutions for next generation technologies including VR and IoT. With our experience worth over a decade, we believe that we know every bit and piece of mobile development. Our user centred approach allows us to develop apps that users love and that is our key to success.

What clients have you worked for?

We have developed apps for Kuwait and UAE based clients and we have also worked with clients from EU and America. We are proud to work with different clients from around the world.

If you had to choose one category, what kind of app do you think is your mobile app development company’s speciality?

Social Media applications are our core speciality. We also have prowess in on demand apps to solve our client problems.

What is the average budget of the mobile apps you develop?

Our average budget is around $15,000-$25,000.

Do you develop all mobile apps in-house or do you outsource some parts of the process?

Most of the development part of our apps are carried out in-house and we keep a good check at the quality of code and app through our QA department. We outsource our designing and branding part of our projects to some of the most reliable sources working with us for years now.

Which would you say are the best mobile apps that your company has developed and why?

We have developed many apps for the clientèle.While every app is special in its own way, there are few worth mentioning:

  • Kabin was one of the most challenging applications since the client had an app that was nothing like what she wanted. We worked hard to develop a new fresh app in the given time-frame. We are really proud of Kabin.
  • SORO is an app that we are in love with. While building it, it helped us explore and develope a lightweight video communication system using webrtc and other technologies to create such a clean app, it is great.
  • iSupply is more a system rather than an app. It is a complete solution for supply chain management with vendors and stores all on board with app monitoring and GPS tracking.

Do you prefer to build mobile apps with native, hybrid or web languages?

Native apps are our preferred choice. However we know the potential that hybrid apps are bringing around. But for the thirst of clean and powerful apps we always opt for native.

Let’s focus on iOS and Android mobile app development. Which are the Pros and Cons of each platform?

iOS is a bit more mature thus it allows more clean coding and much support from the platform itself. The apps are always clean and the support is great. For developing enterprise level applications we always go for iOS.

Android is a bit sluggish and the Android studio has a long road ahead of it, having said that, Android provides the flexibility that we enjoy while experimenting and implementing new thoughts in an app.

Which one will evolve more within the next 5 years?

We assume that with the number of devices increasing and the way Google is enhancing Android studio we will see apps made mostly on Android. It is currently the biggest market as well. However cross platform is the new way to go.

Which device is the best in the market right now?

The new Samsung Galaxy S8 is the hottest device and a must have.

And which device do you feel more comfortable developing an app for?

We love to develop apps for Apple phones and IoT devices. It’s is just great to see what possibilities we can explore with connected devices.
