Raman from Seraphic Info Solutions

Raman Bhola is the CEO of Seraphic Info Solutions. The mobile app development company was founded in 2015 and is located in Mohali, India. The company employs 15 IT professionals and developers.

Raman Bhola started his career in 2011 as an iOS trainee with ClickLabs Private Limited. Gradually, he was promoted to sr iOS developer in the same organization after 2 years. Raman did very interesting projects during his tenure. One of them was developing a real time multiplayer card game, Super Bid Whist Tour. In 2014, he decided to move on and pursue an MBA because marketing was his dream job. Raman applied in a few companies. He was hired by Trigma Solutions Private Limited as Team Lead iOS Development. His role was to handle the team of 17 iOS developers and all the clients. Later on, Raman was promoted as Associated Project Manager and he handled the complete mobile development team including iOS and Android.

In 2015 Raman planned with a friend to start their own venture and they created Seraphic Info Solutions. Here’s what Raman Bhola has to say about his mobile app development company Seraphic Info Solutions and the mobile app development world:

What does Seraphic Info Solutions do?

Our company is delivering IT solutions to clients across the globe. We do mobile apps(iOS and Android), websites and ERP solutions. There are few things that make us different:

  • We are 24x7 available for our clients. Our response time is less than an hour.
  • We don’t follow a single Software development model but many. We are open and flexible with our working methods depending on client’s requirement.
  • We are less expensive than our competitors.
  • Quality is something our team makes sure is never missing. Almost every client has given us their next projects as well.
  • We look for a long term business relation and money comes second.

What clients have you worked for?

I would break this questions in 2 parts.

Domestic clients:

  • HeadMasters: counted as Asia's largest standalone spalon on high street, Headmasters is the winner of many national and international awards and honors.
  • NDTV world wide

International clients:

  • Moonshiner GmbH, Austria
  • DB collective, US
  • Genie Labs LLC, US
  • FastFriends LLC, US
  • Photo Tales/Tho Pham

If you had to choose one category, what kind of app do you think is Seraphic Info Solutions' specialty?

Business category.

What is the average budget of the mobile apps you develop?

USD 5,000-10,000.

Do you develop all mobile apps in-house or do you outsource some parts of the process?

We develop apps in house from the scratch to completion. In the starting phase we tried to outsource a few parts of the process for cost cutting but it caused delay and mismanagement. Under one roof the team can discuss and communicate better and give a better result.

Which would you say are the best mobile apps that your company has developed and why?

I would like to state two apps:

  • Business category: this is a complete Business solution. Whatever business is it, a user will get everything: portfolios, catalog, quotes, invoices, projects, leads, events and much more. The product is doing very good in US.
  • Education category: April 2015 Silver Award winner for "Best App for Children and Toddlers" by BestMobileAppAwards.com.

Do you prefer to build mobile apps with native, hybrid or web languages?

We prefer to build Native apps. The customization and support that is available for Native is not present for Hybrid. Native apps are the only solution where the mobile app has too much of functionality and animations to handle. Native apps are always faster than Hybrid.

Let’s focus on iOS and Android mobile app development. Which are the Pros and Cons of each platform?

The biggest challenge for Android developers is the various number of screen sizes. Though in iOS we have limited number of screen sizes.

Compatibility for third party libraries is much easier in Android than iOS.

Also, Android being Open Source is easily customizable which is pro or a con, it's difficult to say. Many developers like this as they can easily customize things. But from a user’s perspective, they don’t know which app is doing what harm or performing what function in the background.

Tools for automated testing are easily available for Android but in iOS we don’t have many options.

A pro for iPhone development is the security while deploying apps to devices. During development without UDID we cannot install the app on a device where an APK can be easily deployed.

Which one will evolve more within the next 5 years?

To be honest iOS is not making much progress from past few years but Android has evolved. Android being Open Source has huge possibilities. But we are not sure what will iOS come up with this year on completion of 10 years. :)

Which device is the best in the market right now?

Samsung Galaxy S8

And which device do you feel more comfortable developing an app for?

I feel more comfortable developing apps for iOS as I am an expert iOS developer. :) Anyways, both are equivalent.

Why is AppFutura useful to you?

I see a lot of potential on AppFutura. Premium and genuine clients is what I see and expect. There are a lot of portals in the market, but I believe taking a charge will limit the quantity of good developers available. So here, demand and supply meet equally.
