Vipin Jain, CEO and Co-Founder of Konstant Infosolutions, updates his company information and mobile app projects in this interview. What will 2017 bring to Konstant Infosolutions? Let’s see if things have changed for this mobile app development company since the last interview.
Your last interview was published last February. What great apps has your company been working on since then?
Lately, we have completed some groundbreaking app projects for leaders like NASSCOM, an app built for IT and IT enabled companies providing them the latest industry trends and business insights on their smartphones. Some other valuable creations are:
There are many more that had helped our clients reach their milestones achieve results as expected. You can view them in our mobile app portfolio.
Which mobile app has been the biggest development challenge for your mobile app development company?
One of the most challenging projects until now has been an Ear Acquisition app that involved a lot of advanced technical knowledge of the latest technologies and Open CV.
The application deals with scanning the ear of the user so that later, a 3D ear can be generated and utilized to manufacture best fitting personalized earphones.
The challenges that we faced in the app development were:
Our team of brilliant and highly experienced mobile app developers is always ready to face any challenges thrown upon them. It took a lot of brainstorming to get the desired result and was perfectly executed by the team.
What do you think will be the biggest smartphone release this year?
iPhone 7 has already got the hype it deserved this year. Certainly, one of the biggest releases of 2016 by Apple Inc. Users have been earnestly waiting for the iPhone 7 launch.
One more that enticed many millennials recently is the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL which is featured with a new Google Assistant (voice agent) which will allow users for natural dialogue with Google to get any information they need. Unlimited cloud storage, higher resolution or a high capacity battery are the other attractions that will make it a wow purchase.
Other mobile honchos like Lenovo, OnePlus3, Microsoft and HTC One M10 made headlines this year.
Besides smartphones, what mobile device do you think is worth having first?
I feel that wearables/smartwatches and IoT (Internet of Things) devices are amazing devices in addition to mobile phones. Most millennials are inspired to keep the track of their fitness through a smartwatch. Plus, wearable computers will soon go mainstream. IoT devices are a boom to the consumer market where technology can keep everything at place at their home, office or car. With the press of a button or a tap on their mobile screen, we can have a smart living, a smart home and a smart lifestyle. Google Home, smart button controller, temperature controllers, Wi-fi wireless router, VR Gear, indoor night light connectors or smart plugs are just a few to mention.
One of the many technologies that amuse me is Chatbots! Most companies are gearing towards creating those virtual agents/assistants that can help people do everything on their mobile phone through voice commands.
Ranging from functional to fun, chatbots will provide amazing ways to users for buying online, messaging, browsing and everything else. A lot of startups are talking about the opportunities created by AI chatbots in healthcare, travel, retail, social media, banking and finance, food and so on. Business leaders like Baidu, Duolingo, Facebook are using super advanced technology to help people make the most out of artificial intelligence. With bots, the possibilities are endless, there can be a weather bot, news bot, grocery bot, personal finance bot, health bot.
How has the mobile market evolved since our first interview?
Tremendously! I guess our first interview was three years back and in this span, business owners and users have metamorphosed every activity to mobile devices and apps, be it buying groceries, searching for their favorite restaurant, hiring, finding a maid or even finding their car in the parking and what not.
A smartphone is the ultimate device as every industry has turned to mobile phones and mobile apps because of the burgeoning demand by people of all ages. Brands like Strabucks, Reddit, McDonald’s or Audi have either created new apps or renovated the old ones lately to keep up with the trends, to fight the competition and to cater to customer’s changing demands.
Mobile apps evolve too, their features change depending on the device used. What kind of app has a greater future ahead?
I believe all of them. Since each of these technologies including wearable, IoT, tablets and smartphone apps are related to mobile devices in one or the other way, they have a bright future at least for a decade from now. I read that the current wearable tech market is worth 14 Billion USD and is expected to grow to 34 Billion USD in the next four years.
Just like we could not escape the smartphone revolution, we can’t hide from the Internet of Things. Smart thermostats, smart televisions, smart refrigerators, smart cleaning, smart transport, smart cities and smart workspaces are going to make a remarkable difference in our lifestyle. There will be around 20 million connected devices by 2020.
Is your mobile app development company adapting to new technologies and devices coming along?
Certainly! No doubt about it. Our ability to adapt to changes is one of the major reasons our clients keep coming back to us for new projects. Be it web development or mobile app development, we keep abreast of the latest technologies. For example, we have a dedicated team skilled in Swift for iOS apps. Furthermore, we have moved to Magento 2.0 for eCommerce projects and we have also created a few Magento extensions 2.0.
Our teams are also adroit in cross-platform tools like Xamarin, PhoneGap, Sencha, Adobe Air, Sencha, HTML5.
What advice would you give to anyone with an app idea who didn’t know how to get started?
The most important thing I want to tell to startups and to-be app owners is that they must make informed decisions at each stage. They should gain that preliminary acumen of building a mobile app so that they can make the best choices for a mobile app development company, for the mobile OS, for the app platform, for the app’s UX and UI and app technology, though this all will be well suggested if they choose a recognized app development company. This will further help them communicate their requirements effectively to the app developers and the entire project management team.
And yes, remember your idea should be such that can convert a societal need because that’s what users want; they need an app that can genuinely help them in their everyday routines.
