What clients have you worked for?
NFM Group, Farm Frites Poland, GreenCook, Tool Mates Hire, Saloner, OOH Magazine.
If you had to choose one category, what kind of app do you think is your mobile app development company’s specialty?
We are the best in developing Hybrid Mobile Applications. We are developing them using ionic framework + Angular.js. In our opinion nowadays this is the best way to develop a mobile app.
What is the average budget of the mobile apps you develop?
Average budget of app we are developing is between 5,000.00 EUR - 10,000.00 EUR
Do you develop all mobile apps in-house or do you outsource some parts of the process?
We are developing each project in-house. We are not outsourcing the work. In most of cases we are an outsourcing company to our clients. We do not want them to afraid that the work they outsource to us is outsourced some where else.
Which would you say are the best mobile apps that your company has developed and why?
There was a few apps which are worth mentioning, however, our portfolio is quite broad and we cannot boast about everything. The mobile app for ToolMatesHire for our clients from Austrailia is something we are very proud of. The app allows communication between users of our platfrom, which enables the users to rent tools. The app is well-developed and it consists of all of the fuctions of website platform such as making payments in the app.
Do you prefer to build mobile apps with native, hybrid or web languages?
In our company, I am a person who has a knowledge about everything. It makes no difference to me if I am desiging a website or a mobile app in different technology. We are trying not to build native apps, because its creation requires much bigger team than ours. It is also more expensive when it comes to maintanenece, that is why I prefer hybrid solutions. Nowadays, hybrid app do not differ in performence from native apps. However, most of the time I spend on building web apps with the borad scope of functionality, customized for our clients, from calculators to PDF generators, CRM systems or platforms for dietitians. Buidling a good mobile app requires creating proper and efficient API for communication with the data base, that is why all of these technologies are linked with each other.
Let’s focus on iOS and Android mobile app development. Which are the Pros and Cons of each platform?
Development of an app is a complex process. The source code itself should be tested and documented at the beginning for the programmer to get adjusted to it and understand it. Developing apps for Android and iOS requires a bigger team which knows the deal because unluckliy native programming on both iOS and Android demands the thorough knowlegde of both of these platforms. The situation is different when we want to develop a hybrid app which was written in e.g. Ionic Framework. The job needs a man who is knowledgable in programming in Angular because the changes are made in one source code which enables to generate files such as “apk” and “ipa” for both platfroms, so the update can occur simultaneously.
Which one will evolve more within the next 5 years?
Both Android and iOS are very popular and the competition is close to zero. None of the new solutions has no power to become more succesful on the market. Every company has its own gropu of users and it is not going to change. It is very similar to native and hybrid programming. These are th two very popular tehnologies which have both supporters and opponents. The difference lays in the matter that the platforms are not going to change, Android and iOS will stay judging by the market demand. The demand for hybrid platforms is alos increasing so that the demand on native apps decreases.
Which device is the best in the market right now?
There are so many devices on the market that it is really hard to say. Every year, companies launch new models. The prices for the devices are going up as well. Companies like Apple or Samsung are the leading ones on the market right now. We are bombarded with novelties every day. For example, the face scanner or the fingerprint detector are very popular. As far as my taste is concerned, I prefer the Apple products, so my answer is Iphone, for sure.
And which device do you feel more comfortable developing an app for?
Being a programmer requires flexibility so I cannot be limited to one brand or one model. Personally, it is easier for me to build an app for an iOS, however, using the hybrid solutions I am able to get an app fo both platfroms. I prefer testing them on Iphone because the interface of this platform is more convinient for me.
