What does your mobile app development company do?
Glorium Technologies usually partners with small to medium-sized businesses and startups. Healthcare and real estate are the key client domains; however, it is also expanding into the fintech, social, and e-commerce sectors.
The wide range of services offered by the company is focused on startups including product research, tech consulting, software development, testing, marketing & growth, certification, and compliance help, and business consulting, and we even provide funds for some of our clients.
The company was also ranked in the American 5000 fastest growing companies at Inc5000 for three years in a row in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
What clients have you worked for?
The company holds 11 years of experience in providing healthcare and real estate development solutions and has delivered 50+ products to its satisfied clients. 170+ skilled and talented developers, designers, PMs, BAs, and QAs remain constantly engaged in delivering quality products to their customers and this is the reason the company has a 99% of the client satisfaction rate.
If you had to choose one category, what kind of app do you think is your mobile app development company’s specialty?
If we had to select one type of software to develop, we’d go with IOS and Android native and Xamarin-based apps that include teleconferencing and integrations with the hardware.
What is the average budget for the mobile apps you develop?
$30.000-$50.000
Do you develop all mobile apps in-house, or do you outsource some parts of the process?
We don’t outsource any part of the work. We are all for in-house development, and we keep and grow our expertise within the company.
Which would you say are the best mobile apps that your company has developed?
The ones that include integrations with hardware are our best since they receive data from certain devices via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or NFC and allow working with it immediately. We really excel at developing those applications. Our apps that include 3D-modeling features look impressive as well.
Do you prefer to build mobile apps with native, hybrid, or web languages?
Hybrid or web languages are getting popular now, also we prefer native languages for complex projects to allow their flexibility and lots of possibilities for growth.
Let’s focus on iOS and Android mobile app development. Which are the Pros and Cons of each platform?
Android. The major benefit is the openness of the system. The main disadvantage of the platform is in microlags and freezes.
iOS. Pros: The relevance of the software, the IOS is better optimized. Cons: the file system, but at the same time, it makes the platform more secure.
Android has only one disadvantage compared to iOS, you have to support many devices, with different screen sizes and different OS versions.
In iOS, everything else is more or less unified, and users upgrade to new versions of the OS faster. 90% of the devices are using the latest version.
Which one will evolve more within the next 5 years?
My guess is that both platforms will continue to evolve for many years to come, because there are so many products made for these platforms that cannot be so easily replaced by something else.
Android, in order to reach many users, will have to support older versions of the OS that are 5+ years old.
Which device is the best in the market right now?
As for the device, there is no universal leaders. You should take into account the client’s budget. The main thing should be suitable for a particular project and its features. So it is better to look at other things for development, instead of a brand name.
And which device do you feel more comfortable developing an app for?
That would be iOS devices since you can only support the latest version of the OS for the app.
About native/hybrid/web platforms—which when is preferred and why.
React Native has low performance, but the fastest development. It's easy and fast to do MVP version. Flutter has almost the same performance as native, but the community is not as large as Swift/Kotlin. With Swift/Kotlin it's much easier to find the right library and not to make something from scratch.
