Tell us a little bit about your previous work:

In the past years before the inception of CMARIX, I helped various entrepreneurs to make their vision successful for their future company. I ensured, the clients should begin their digital journey with a competitive edge in the market, ultimately success knocking their door.

If you had to choose one category, what kind of app do you think is your mobile app development company’s specialty?

It’s hard to answer this since we have expertise in 30+ different business domains right from booking to eCommerce, from logistics to healthcare. Our expertise is to work on enterprise applications which have an end to end integration, several different types of users and is as an integral part of the client’s business model.

What is the average budget of the mobile apps you develop?

The budget for every app varies depending upon their detailed specifications. We work on Apps as small as $4k USD to $400k+ USD depends on overall project specifications, technology stack and execution requirement.

Do you develop all mobile apps in-house or do you outsource some parts of the process?

We do everything in-house. We never subcontract or outsource our work since we take immense pride in the design aesthetics and development code quality which we as a company provide.

Which would you say are the best mobile apps that your company has developed and why?

Out of the hundreds, we recently worked on an app named Glitty which is a photo-editing app that transforms your regular photos to striking one by adding glitter to your photos. This app is now ranking No.1 in photo and video category in Spain.

Other than this, we worked on a unique app called Couchshopr for our US customer, which basically delivers any household things to your home while communicating with the Driver. The features like map tracking, messenger, and mobile payment make the app easy-to-use.

Talk Town is one more name in the list of best apps, it is a modern platform developed for employee engagement. It allows posting of information, receiving feedback, sending of VIP alert with pictures and emergency messages.

Do you prefer to build mobile apps with native, hybrid or web languages? Why?

We are great when it comes to native app development as well as cross-platform technologies. We have done several native apps using Swift for iOS & Kotlin for Android. Furthermore, we have also executed several cross-platform apps using ReactNative, Ionic, Xamarin, PhoneGap and many others.

We also have expertise in Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) as well as Progressive Web Applications (PWA).

Let’s focus on iOS and Android mobile app development. Which are the Pros and Cons of each platform?

Most of our customers choose both iOS & Android Mobile App Platforms. However, the platform is divided based on geography. Most developed countries have the majority of iOS users and most developing countries have majority Android users.

Ideally one should target both iOS & Android mobile platform together but if the budget is limited and you are in North America for example, we would recommend you to start with iOS first & execute Android.

If your budget is limited and you are a targeting more Asian audience, then Android is the ideal platform. Android provides more flexibility to developers in comparison to iOS. On the other side of the coin, iOS is more secure, standardized yet restrictive.

Which one will evolve more within the next 5 years?

The technology era is evolving at a rapid pace and whether the talk is about iPhone or Android, both of them can have cool and interesting features in the near future. The market share for both the platforms may stay the same in the near future until a 3rd platform breaks the innovation space with an outstanding approach with the disruptive technologies.

Future of mobile app won’t be confined to mobile devices but to the actual concept of mobility itself.

Which device is the best in the market right now?

Android and iOS are equally competent to each other, as both the platforms are regularly updated. Recently, Android Q was released and for iPhone, there were major enhancements done to its 12.0 version named as 12.3. Both the platforms are evolving to adapt similar flexibility given by each of the platforms. The individual user needs to boil down the choice between the two based on the feature requirements.

And which device do you feel more comfortable developing an app for?

There is no particular preference that we have, as both of these platforms have a vast set of development tools for developers to develop something extraordinary. However, if the requirement is to reach a wide audience, then you cannot just hold on a single platform.
