What do you do?
Intersog is one of Chicago Top App Developers 2014 (according to research agency Clutch.Co) specialized in both own and custom (white label) mobile apps development for startups and established brands. Right now, we’re focused specifically on providing digital health solutions, and making apps for wearable gadgets and the Connected World (IoT). In general, we have clients across many verticals and niches such as sports (e.g., Ski Nation), education (e.g., Sam Learning), automotive (Mitsubishi Motors), gaming/iGambling (RocketPlay), digital media (e.g. Aggregate Knowledge (now Neustar), TopSpin), and retail (e.g., windeln.de).
Which would you say are the best apps you have developed and why?
Schedule Planner Pro (business, productivity, utilities) exceeded 2M downloads in iTunes and Google Play combined, is featured as a Hot App in iTunes Utilities in 41 countries and is within Top 100 free iPhone Utilities apps.
World Academy Online (education) was developed in tight cooperation with Professor and bestselling author Dr. Jae K. Shim, and provides a lot of useful materials for people preparing for their MBA exams for absolutely free! Listed among the best project management apps for iPad by Apppicker.
Interview Assistant Pro (business, productivity, utilities) topped BusinessBee’s Best Business Communication Apps Ever, 2013.
Taptodo (business, productivity, utilities) was listed by Apppicker among the best project management apps of 2014.
Which apps would you have loved to develop and why?
We can actually make any type of app, but we’d be excited to develop apps similar to Word Lens or Strava (for Google Glass) as well as some groundbreaking eHealth apps such as TouchSurgery (surgery simulation app) or CADi2 (dementia screening app).
Which are the 5 apps you use the most on a daily basis?
Our Schedule Planner Pro, LinkedIn, MyPad, Vider and Podcasts.
Which mobile device is the best in the market right now?
What kind of device/platform will be the next big thing?
I don’t think people’s preferences will change much in the near future, and iOS and Android will keep their positions as the most commonly used platforms. Yet, I believe Android will be the leading one, but not in its current form. It’ll be modified with some tweaks to improve the overall UX (there’re already attempts to do so, example – Cyanogen).
Regarding the devices, I believe modular smartphones will catch on, as people will love the idea of changing the look and feel of their gadgets whenever they want it without having to buy a new device.
