Top app development companies interview: Svetlana Platonova – DevExperts

DevExperts BlogSvetlana Platonova is Project Manager at DevExperts. The company, founded in 2005 by Andrei Costenco and Yuri Tarabanov, is located in Unna, Germany, and employs up to 8 people. Here is what Svetlana had to say about the company and the mobile world:

What do you do?

We have more than 9 years of experience developing web-based projects using Symfony Framework for PHP/MySQL environment and mobile applications using Apple and Android native SDKs. Our web-based projects are basically complex systems created from scratch for various niches – Real Estate, Social Networks, On-line Stores, Auction Sites and many others.

Some of our mobile projects have been created as an accompanying application for the web-based system and some of them have been created as a standalone application or a game with the web-based backend and self written API.

Which would you say are the best apps you have developed and why?

We have recently launched a social network for the LGBT society – a place where the professionals and graduates can find their perfect work in a LGBT-friendly medium. A part of our team is currently developing the accompanying iPhone application for this network.

Another application that has been created by our team members is an Instagram-similar iOS application that comprises all the common Instagram features and aside from that – a large set of additional extending functionality, however, we are not allowed to disclose more information due to the signed NDA.

Some of our customers are very sensitive in questions of commercial confidentiality and, of course, we handle their data with the utmost care.

Which apps would you have loved to develop and why?

We found the Shazam app to be really astonishing. The idea is indeed great, opening a wide range of additional possible functionality, a great marketing channel and a really world-changing concept in the music branch.

Which are the 5 apps you use the most on a daily basis?

Shell Terminal

Which mobile device is the best in the market right now?

Apple iPhone, I suppose.

What kind of device/platform will be the next big thing?

Integration of the computer interfaces and devices with human body. This becomes a bigger topic every year.

Why is AppFutura useful to you?

It’s the first of a kind targeted platform that aims specifically to the mobile app development market. Most other platforms try to cover a broader sector of the IT, trying to reach each and every target group they can. But sometimes focusing on something brings more effect.

As you said Apple iPhone 5 is the best device in the market . I would love to tell you here that this device is quite costly for common people. Some android device are far better in this price point. So instead of this we can have that devices.
