What do you do?

Apptology’s focus is on mobile app development. Our team can develop on all major mobile platforms including iOS, Android, Blackberry, and Windows Phone. In addition, we can also develop the backend needed to support an app. Most of our clients tend to be startups and small business. However, we have done a number of apps for Fortune 500 companies and local governments.

Which would you say are the best apps you have developed and why?

We developed a couple of apps that were finalist for awards.

Drug Test Info (an app developed for the American Screening Corporation) was a finalist for a Tabby in the Business Category. This app has received substantial downloads and users were ordering product from the first day it was published.

Photo Punchlist was nominated for a Silicon Valley Business App Award. It was developed initially for a construction company. To their delight, they found that it saved 4 hours per project.

Which apps would you have loved to develop and why?

Personally, I would have loved to have an opportunity to work on apps like Uber and AirBnB. The model where the app quickly connects a resource with a demand is amazingly strong and serves as a model for other startups. We are currently working with a couple of startups that are developing apps with this model in mind

Which are the 5 apps you use the most on a daily basis?

For business, I use LinkedIn, MeetUp and Apple Maps constantly. For personal, I use Pandora and I play Clash of Clans and Star Wars Commander

Which mobile device is the best in the market right now?

The iPhone 6.

What kind of device/platform will be the next big thing?

I feel Apple will still be the platform to beat.
