Which would you say are the best apps you have developed and why?
8a.pl, a sales application for one of the biggest outdoor e-shops, would be definitely my choice. First of all, it meets the client's business needs as well as users' expectations, which is one of the most important aspects determining the success. In this app a user can find out about current news, promotions and bargains. Additionally, the application has the built-in barcode scanner, which enables checking availability and a price of an item in 8a.pl store and its quick buying (basket) or placing on the wish-list. The value of mobile revenues in 2013, compared to 2012, has increased more than 4-fold, which is very satisfying for both the shop owners and us, the app developers.
Which apps would you have loved to develop and why?
If I could choose any application in the world that I wish I had worked on, just for my pleasure, it would definitely be My Swing. I'm a real golf passionate and the app enables to record yourself playing and then frame by frame analyze your hit and compare it even to Tiger Woods.
Which are the 5 apps you use the most on a daily basis?
I think it won't be a surprise for anybody that first application that I switch on after awakening is Facebook. Currently we have to be up-to-date, always. I also have to mention Pocket. When I come across an interesting content that I cannot read at that moment, I save it and come back to it later. Mostly when I'm stuck in a traffic jam. In professional life, the most important for me is a calendar. It is synchronized with many devices so it facilitates my work. Once I intensively used Nozbe - application to create a list of tasks. Today, however, I rather concentrate on their rapid implementation, so when I cannot do something immediately, I delegate it to others. For some time I also intensively used an app published by the Stock Exchange. Thanks to it I can easily check the current stock quotes of the companies that I've been watching.
Which mobile device is the best in the market right now?
I always work on my Mac, Ipad and Iphone and altough it sometimes happens to me to come to the office without a computer, my Ipad is always with me – it is small, comfortable and what's the most important – it fits most of my pockets! The majority of the websites that I usually browse have its equivalent in the form of application. iPad is a real must have for me.
What kind of device/platform will be the next big thing?
I can see a huge potential in wearable technology. I think it meet the users' expectations and needs even more than mobile – we have it always and everywhere with us. It also gives a great chance to advisers. Wearable technology allows you to gain a lot of information about the user – his lifestyle, preferred products and the most visited places. Therefore it gives the opportunity to carry out very precisely targeted marketing activities.
